Welcome

The Palmer Cup is an annual golf and drinking tournament, held between a large group of good friends. The event takes place over the the first weekend of July and roughly follows the format of the Ryder Cup, but without the golf.

The two teams are 'Team Palmer' and 'Team Goldsmith' and the prize is a tacky piece of tat that Simon provided as a joke, at a lads weekend away.

The first Palmer Cup was held at 'The Belfry' back in 2003. Then the founding members were, Simon Palmer, Dan Goldsmith, Kier "Stumpy" Wingrove and Danny Dharmalinam and after Palmy's team were roundly thrashed by the 10th hole. Team Goldsmith took the prize and the event was born.

Now after just finishing our 12th year, the event has gone from strength to strength and although the team lineups, shirts and venues have changed, the golf unfortunately remains the same, very poor!
